At Gemstones Press CIC, we believe in empowering adolescents aged 17+ to navigate through life with confidence and sustainability. Our mission is to provide the support and tools needed for them to thrive and make a positive contribution in society. Gemstones Press has been instituted to reach the oppressed, the wounded, the broken, the crushed, the abused, and the abandoned. Its aim is to restore, empower, uplift, motivate, and equip one to rediscover themselves, know their worth, their value, who they are, and that they are a precious gem.
Gems evolve from the natural processes of the Earth, primarily involving intense heat, pressure, and the presence of specific minerals. These conditions can occur deep within the Earth's crust or mantle, where molten rock (magma) cools and crystallises, or where existing rocks are transformed by heat and pressure, creating new mineral formations.
The Divine Vision
In 2006, during a time of distress from early life trauma, Glenda Lawrence received a profound vision: with the words "Gemstones Press" emblazoned in the middle of a rainbow in the sky. "These words, 'Gemstones Press', are yours, Glenda, because these words embody who you are. You are all the gemstones all roped into one, be it gold, diamond, silver, sapphire, onyx, ruby, emerald, bronze, etc., and although you have been pressed down, oppressed, and ill-treated, you are a precious gem in my eyes."

Our Services
The aim of Gemstones Press CIC is to implement consultancy workshops for 17+ that are care leavers within the residential care system. Why? Because young people are often ill-prepared for the harsh realities life throws at them whilst they are navigating their way through life.
Two primary reasons that young people fail are 1) they don't set goals and 2) they quit too soon before they have even started. Even if they set good goals, they will encounter many setbacks on their journey to success.
Everyone does.
This consultancy will help adolescents identify the following:
1. Identify their strengths and weaknesses
2. Provide training and support around confidence building.
3. Set specific goals and plans to achieve them with deadlines.
4. Offer training and support around budgeting skills, cooking skills and
managing stress.
5. Evaluate change and identify gaps and room for improvement.
The overall nature of my company moving forward will include media representation services, sports and recreation education, other social work activities without accommodation not elsewhere classified and artistic creation as appropriate.
